Grants Program

The Local Records Grant Program offers local governments, or political subdivisions with taxing authority, grant funding for approved records management or preservation projects. Permanent, long-term or historically significant records are eligible for microfilming grant funds. Grants may be funded up to 70% of the total project cost. The grant project period runs annually from July 1st to June 30th.

FY 2010 Local Records Grant Workshops

The Local Records Preservation Program will offer records management and preservation grant workshops at eight regional sites from November 1 through 30, 2008.  Each workshop will cover Fiscal Year 2010 grant program requirements and the application process, plus basic planning information for microfilming projects.  This information will prepare local governments to apply for funding in this competitive grant program.  Workshop attendance is strongly encouraged.

Application materials will be distributed at the workshops.  No pre-registration is required and there is no charge for the workshop.  Travel, meals, and other associated costs of participation are the responsibility of the attending individual.  If weather conditions are hazardous on the day of the site you have selected, that workshop will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
