Missouri Historical Records Advisory Board (MHRAB)

The Missouri Historical Records Grant Program

The Missouri Historical Records Grant Program (MHRGP) was created through a collaborative effort between the state of Missouri and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), the grant-awarding arm of the National Archives and Records Administration. The grant program was administered by the Missouri State Archives, Office of the Secretary of State, on behalf of the Missouri Historical Records Advisory Board. The program awarded financial assistance to help preserve and make accessible Missouri's historical records and promoted archival education and cooperation among the State’s records keepers from January 2001 through June 2003.

The Missouri Historical Records Grant Program was extended for a third cycle, which ran from 2003 through 2005.

MHRGP Web-Based Initiative

In March 2005, the MHRGP awarded additional funding to five successful grant recipients for web-enhancement and creation of technology-driven solutions to meet the need for sharing best practices and improved communication on topics of interest to the historical records community.  The funding recipients were: the American Jazz Museum, Still National Osteopathic Museum, The History Museum of Springfield-Greene County, KOPN 89.5 FM Community Radio Station, and the Vernon County Historical Society.  Please follow the links below to organizational sites to learn more about their projects
