An imperfect memorandam of

Claims reported to me & allawed

after the paymaster Genl left the

service, not including claims re-re

=ported to the Auditor, I only state

name & amount & when reported to

auditor it would require months

to set out at length the reports [“and” crossed out]

depositions affidavits &c and

my reports to the auditor for

in nearly all the cases I had to

make a sepperate report to the

auditor except in the Heathenly

War cases they did not give me so

much troule & you will observe

that it required as much time in

many cases to allaw a smal claim

as it did a lare one—the dates to the ryht

of the [“M” is crossed out] name shows when the claim    

 was allowed [“consequent” is crossed out] & the days engased
