Dear Sir
I received your letter respecting cer
tain clames due for services rendered in the
Mormon difficulty. but not in time to see
you in Fayette the clame of James Williams
stands on the payroll unpaid which is $11.07
also Hughs Parsons unpaid . . . 11.07
but the name of James L Jipson is not
to be found on the original payroll in
Capt Childs company . I exspect to be
in the City of
month at which time I will pay off this
above clames and any others that you may
have on hand. the out standing clames
are often presented to me for payment and
cannot leave home untill about that time
least I should disappoint many persons
my respects to yourself and family
yours truly.
