                                           To His Excel..  Gov Reynoldez

                                                         Of Missouri____

Sir, I hope you will excuse the liberty I take

in addressing you, My object is the sucess-

ful exposing of Mormonism, to do this I

beg you will give me the facts as they are

all I presume in your possession or in that

of some court officers.  I here allude to ^the conduct

of Jo, Smith, Rigdon & the Mormonz in general

which led to their expulsion from Missouri

I have^az a minister of Christ made a general

attack upon their imposture, & in a publick

discussion charged them as the cause of all their

troubles & ejectment  from your state  Sir I

will thank you, for such information

az you possess in regard to these base deceivers

& I should like to know if there iz a reward

offered for Smith & Rigdon az both have been

lately in thiz section, & I think Rigdon iz

more in Mommouth Co. of this State, I would

like to get ^ the substance of the tryal & a pamphlet

said to written by a member of the State senate

once a Mormon, direct to Rev. E. D Smith,

Pastor of the German Refm Church. Trenton N. J.

& you will oblige your humble servent

answer soon az convenient,  Edwd D. Smith
