Copy of Resolution of House of Represen=
tatives-
Resolved that so much of the Governors mes=
sage as relates to the recent difficulties be-
tween the people called Mormons, and a
part of the people of this State, be referred
to a Select committee of Seven Members to
act jointly with said committee, as
may be appointed by the Senate, with
instructions to enquire into the causes
of said disturbances, and the Conduct of
the Military operations in suppressing them
with power to Send for persons and papers-

In Senate-
An motion of Mr. Monroe
The Senate took up the Joint Resolution
of the House of Representatives, relating
to the late differences with the Mormons
which was concurred in and
Messrs Turner Noland and Scott
were appointed a Committee on the part
of the Senate to carry the above Reso-
lution into effect.”
