Accepting Comments on 2026 Initiative Petitions

The Secretary is accepting comments on the following initiative petitions. Note that the text of these petitions may not constitute the full and correct text as required under Section 116.050, RSMo. Before circulating a petition for signatures, state law requires that groups must first have the form of their petition approved by the secretary of state's office. Public comments must then be accepted for 15 days under Section 116.334, RSMo. The office has 23 days after the form of the petition is approved to draft ballot summary language. The office accepts all comments from receipt of a petition until 15 days after approval of the form of the petition. The office will review all comments.
