Ashcroft Discusses Elections with Calvary Lutheran High School Government Students

Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft visited Calvary Lutheran High School today to speak with government students about election integrity, the election process and the upcoming general election on Nov. 3.

“Thanks to Calvary Lutheran for inviting me to speak with their seniors today,” Ashcroft said. “It was a great opportunity to discuss some of what our office does, as well as answer some exceptional questions. I enjoyed meeting the students and seeing the school’s motto, ‘Building Christian leaders’, in action. It was great to see the interest Calvary Lutheran’s students showed in learning about our elections. It’s important for young Missourians to understand how our democracy functions and the important role they play in its future.”

Ashcroft’s office is responsible for administering all statewide elections in Missouri, and the office works together with the state’s 116 local election authorities to safeguard the integrity of Missouri’s elections.
