The Governor issued a Writ of Election to fill the vacancy in the office of State Representative, District 39. This vacancy was created by the resignation of Representative Jean Peters-Baker. Candidates nominated by the political parties or by petition must file their declaration of candidacy with the Secretary of State by 5:00 p.m. on September 28, 2011 for the special election to be held on November 8, 2011.
