Strengthening Service for Lifelong Learning
Every Child Ready to Read
Grants will provide public libraries with funds to obtain the resources to conduct early literacy workshops for parents and caregivers of children birth through age five. Applicants must attend the Every Child Ready to Read workshop to be eligible for this grant.
Library Outreach to Spanish Speakers
Libraries applying for the grant will be expected to plan and implement a program or project aimed at a target audience, Spanish speakers, using input from local community leaders, and meeting the grant goals. Applicants must attend the Library Outreach to Spanish Speakers workshop to be eligible for this grant.

Programs for Target Populations
Grants will fund planning and implementation of programs targeting library services to individuals of diverse geographic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and to underserved urban and rural communities. Audience may be of any age. Open to public, school and academic libraries.
Strengthening Service through Training and Planning
Excellence in Library Service
Grants for libraries to contract with a trainer, qualified consultant, professional librarian, technology expert, child development specialist or other experts with a skill or knowledge that would help the library to better serve its community. Topics must be focused on a specific, eligible need. Open to all types of libraries.

Grants for libraries to contract with a trainer, qualified consultant, professional librarian, technology expert, child development specialist or other experts with a skill or knowledge that would help the library to better serve its community. Strengthening Service through Technology
Technology Mini-Grant
Open to qualified public libraries needing to replace, upgrade or add new equipment or software. Projects should be of short duration including compilation of adequate evaluation measures. Minimum grant award is $500. Maximum grant award is $19,000.
