Minimum Specifications for Computer Equipment
All computers purchased with LSTA grant funds must meet the following minimum specifications established by the Missouri Secretary of State's Office:
January through June, 2013 Specifications
Desktop PC:
- The following specs do not apply to Thin Client installations, which are allowable
- 2.9 GHz Dual-Core Processor
- 4GB SDRAM Memory
- 250 GB Hard drive
- 19” Flat Panel Monitor
- 512 MB Graphics Card
- 16x DVD+/-Read/Write drive
- LAN Networking Port and Wireless Optional
Laptop PC:
- 2.0 GHz Processor
- 4 GB Memory
- 160 GB Hard drive
- DVD Read/Write drive
- 14” Display area
- LAN Networking Port and Wireless Capable
Gaming PC:
- 6 MB, 2.66 GHz Dual- or Quad-Core Processor
- 6 GB Memory 64-Bit
- 512 MB Graphics Card
- 640GB Hard drive
- 22” Flat Panel Widescreen Monitor 8 ms Seek Time or better
- DVD Read/Write drive
- Front USB and Audio ports
- Gaming Keyboard
- Gaming Headset
- LAN Networking Port
Computer Lab* Server Tower or Rack:
- 2.0 GHz Dual- or Quad-Core Processor
- 4 GB Memory
- 160 GB Hard drive—4 or more hard drives for RAID (RAID 5)
- 19 inch Monitor
- Rewritable DVD Drive
- Dual Power Supplies
*This is a minimum specification for computer labs only. Due to the variety of requirements for a specific library site server, the State Library does not provide minimum standards for a library site production servers.
