EXECUTIVE ORDER
82-4

WHEREAS, I have been advised by the State Director, Disaster Planning and Operations Office, Civil Defense, Office of the Adjutant General, that a natural disaster of major proportions has occurred in certain counties of Missouri specified herein; that injury to persons and damage to and loss of property is imminent as the result of severe winds and tornadoes that occurred April 2, 1982, and that the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of those counties require an invocation of the provisions of Section 44.100, RSMo 1978;

NOW, THEREFORE, I CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of authority vested in me by Section 44.100, RSMo 1978, do hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in the following counties of Missouri: Howell and Ozark, and that each county is hereby declared to be a disaster area, and do hereby authorize that the approved Missouri Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Plan be activated and do further authorize the use of such agencies, personnel, and equipment of the State as may be necessary for the preservation of life, property, and the restoration of public facilities in those counties.
