EXECUTIVE ORDER
82-14

WHEREAS, I have been advised by the Director of the State Emergency Management Agency, Office of the Adjutant General, that a natural disaster of major proportion has occurred in the Missouri Counties of Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte, that damage to and loss of property is imminent as the result of flash flooding which occurred August 12 and 13, 1982, and that the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of said counties require the invocation of the provisions of Section 44.100, RSMo 1978;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of Missouri, hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in the Missouri Counties of Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte and that said counties are hereby declared to be disaster areas. I hereby authorize the Missouri Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Plan to be activated and further authorize the use of such agencies, personnel and equipment of the State of Missouri as may be necessary for the preservation of life and property, and the restoration of public facilities, in said counties.
