EXECUTIVE ORDER

WHEREAS, the Department of Mental Health has identified real property adjacent to the Bellefontaine Habilitation Center in St. Louis County, Missouri as surplus to its needs; and

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Mental Health has informed the Commissioner of Administration, in accordance with Section 630.535(7), RSMo 1986, that this property is surplus to the needs of the Department of Mental Health; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, Missouri Veterans Commission has need of some of this property for construction of a veterans home; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Mental Health and the Commissioner of Administration have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement to transfer the property from the Department of Mental Health to the Department of Public Safety.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN ASHCROFT, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, in accordance with Section 630.535, RSMo 1986, hereby order the transfer and reassignment of the following described property from the Department of Mental Health to the Department of Public Safety, Missouri Veterans Commission, to wit:

A tract of land in United States Survey 2448, Township 46 and 47 North, Range 7 East, St. Louis County, Missouri; said tract being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the eastern line of Missouri State Highway 367, 200 feet wide, with a line distant 100.00 feet north of its intersection with the line common to said Townships; thence South 89 degrees 04 minutes East 1353.33 feet along said line parallel with the line common to said Townships, to the northern prolongation of the eastern line of SHERWOOD HILLS PLAT 2, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 124, Page 14, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence South 2 degrees 54 minutes West 1613.38 feet along said prolongation, to a line distant 250.00 feet north of and parallel with the northern line of said SHERWOOD HILLS PLAT 2, measured at right angles thereto; thence North 89 degrees 23 minutes West 1304.76 feet along said line parallel with the northern line of said SHERWOOD HILLS PLAT 2, to the eastern line of said Missouri State Highway 367; thence North 1 degree 24 minutes 30 seconds East 1612.08 feet along the eastern line of said Missouri State Highway 367, to the point of beginning, and containing 49 Acres, more or less.
