EXECUTIVE ORDER
00-10

WHEREAS, the United States Supreme Court issued its decision in Olmstead V. Zimring, 119 S.Ct.2175, 144 L.ED 2d 540 on June 22, 1999; and

WHEREAS, on April 18, 2000, Executive Order 00-09, was issued to establish the Home and Community-Based Services and Consumer-Directed Care Commission.

NOW THEREFORE, I, MEL CARNAHAN, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the powers vested in me through the Constitution and the laws of the State of Missouri do hereby amend Executive Order 00-09 as follows: 1) amend paragraph one (1), line two (2) by replacing "Zimring" with "L.C." and removing the phrase "144 L.ED 2d 540"; 2) amend paragraph three (3), line two (2) by replacing the word "appropriate" with "required" and amend line seven (7) by replacing the word "Zimering" with "L.C." and 3) amend paragraph twelve (12), line three (3) by replacing the word "Zimring" with "L.C."
