Carnahan Reminds Missourians to Register to Vote Before Deadline
Jefferson City, MO - Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan today reminded Missourians to register to vote in order to participate in the February 7 presidential preference primary. The last day to register is Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
Missourians can visit www.GoVoteMissouri.com to view different options for registering to vote, which may be done in person or by mail. A mailed voter registration application must be postmarked by the January 11th deadline to ensure the voter is eligible for the presidential preference primary.
It is important to remember that updating voter registration information is necessary if a currently registered voter has moved or changed his or her name. Voters can confirm they are registered at the correct address by using the “Check Your Voter Registration” tool at www.sos.mo.gov/elections/voterlookup/.
Missourians who will be 18 years old by February 7th and have not yet registered to vote can request a voter registration card from the Office of the Secretary of State by visiting www.GoVoteMissouri.com and clicking on the “Register to Vote” tool.
