Carnahan Issues Cease and Desist Order Against Krystal Energy Corporation
Jefferson City, Missouri -- Secretary of State Robin Carnahan's Commissioner of Securities, David B. Cosgrove, issued a Cease and Desist Order yesterday against Save the Planet Energy Corporation a/k/a Save the Planet USA Company; Krystal Planet Corporation; and Krystal Energy Corporation, a Delaware corporation located in Lenexa, KS, as well as Troy Helming and Alysia Carlson Helming both of Lenexa, KS. The order alleges that the company violated Missouri law by offering and selling unregistered, non-exempt securities to Missouri residents as well as omitting facts and making untrue statements in connection with the sale of the investment products.
Krystal Energy is a company that offered clean, renewable, homegrown energy through a referral-based marketing approach. The company claimed to use investor proceeds to build wind turbines. The wind turbines were to generate clean power through wind energy. However, no wind turbines were ever built and the investors never received their principle or interest.
The securities offered by the company as well as the representatives from the company were unregistered in the State of Missouri. The order alleges that the company also failed to disclose to investors that Helming was the subject of a Kansas Consent Order dated June 10, 2002. The Kansas Consent Order prohibited Helming from selling unregistered securities and engaging in business as a broker-dealer or agent without registration.
"It is important for investors to verify company representatives as well as the investment products that they offer by calling our toll-free investor hotline before they agree to do business with the company," said Carnahan.
