Standards
Internationally accepted standards can form a solid basis for a sound electronic records management program. Standards help ensure that all relevant factors have been considered when establishing or revising systems and procedures, and help achieve common understandings among parties with differing backgrounds and viewpoints. The following standards were discussed and recommended by the instructors during the MERETI workshop series.
State and local government employees may reference the standards at the Missouri State Library, 600 West Main Street, Jefferson City, 2nd Floor. Alternatively, all the listed standards may be purchased from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) at their on-line eStandards Store at http://webstore.ansi.org/ansidocstore/default.asp.
