Information includes name, address, telephone, age, marital status, race, dependents, country of birth, citizenship status, current occupation, and level of education attained.

This collection contains handwritten statements from Missouri judges from the mid-19th century verifying their age with the Secretary of State’s Office. As outlined in Missouri’s Constitution (1820), judges had to be at least 30 years old, but birth certificates were not issued or maintained by the government at that time.

The Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) was created by Dr. B.F. Stephenson of Springfield, Illinois, for Union veterans of the Civil War. Missouri's first post was organized in Kirksville October 1, 1866, but disbanded a few years later after internal strife. It was reorganized in 1882 and was designated Post Number 22.
