Wolfie's January - February 2024 Mail and Make Kit

Happy New Year!  Wolfie’s Youth Mail and Make kits for January and February 2024 are on their way to participants.  We’re starting off the year with a festive dragon puppet!

While many cultures around the world celebrate the start of a new year, each group of people has its own traditions to make it special.   One of the more colorful examples originated in China: a large dragon puppet is brought to life by dancers and puppeteers during the New Year’s parade.  The dragon visits shop owners and interacts with parade spectators to bring good luck to everyone it meets.

A how-to video for this Mail and Make project is available at the following link: How To Make a Lunar New Year Dragon Puppet.

As always, we would love to see pictures of your finished projects.  Photos should be of the project only, to protect the safety of our patrons.  Please email your Mail and Make photos to [email protected].

Wolfie’s Youth Mail and Make program is open to youth and adults with intellectual disabilities.  Participants must be registered patrons of Wolfner Library.  To become a library patron, go to the Apply for Services page for access to the eligibility requirements and application.

Signup for Wolfie’s Youth Mail and Make may be found at the following link: Wolfie's Mail and Make Registration Form.

We are expanding to include a separate set of projects for grownups!  Patrons interested in Wolfner’s Adult Mail and Make Program can find the link on our Programs and Events page.
