Ashcroft, Legislators to Host Local Voter Registration Drives
Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft is hosting voter registration drives with Rep. Mike Moon and Rep. Jim Murphy in their districts in the coming days.
“We want to ensure all Missourians have the opportunity to cast a ballot and make their voices heard,” Ashcroft said. “My office has reached out to each legislator to set up a time in their district to promote voter registration. These non-partisan events are a great opportunity for Missourians to meet their elected officials, get registered and verify their voting information.”
Ashcroft will be joined by Rep. Moon at the Mt. Vernon Apple Butter Days on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and Rep. Murphy at the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Missourians can visit GoVoteMissouri.com to register, check their registration status or get more information about registering to vote. In order to register, you must be a U.S. citizen, a Missouri resident and 18 years old by the day of the election. Any questions about the registration process can be directed to 800-669-8683.
