 Kander Certifies March 15 Presidential Preference Primary Election Results

Jefferson City, Mo. — Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander today certified the results of the March 15, 2016, Presidential Preference Primary election results at his office in Jefferson City, Mo. To view the official election results, please visit

More than 1.5 million registered Missouri voters turned out to nominate party candidates for president, with a record turnout of nearly 39 percent.

The official results confirmed Hillary Clinton received the most votes in the Democratic race with 312,285 votes, with a 1,574-vote lead. Donald J. Trump received the most votes in the Republican race with 383,631 votes, with a 1,965-vote lead. The position of “uncommitted” received the most votes in the Libertarian primary, with Austin Petersen as the candidate with the most votes at 854. The position of “uncommitted” also received the most votes in the Constitutional primary, where no candidates filed.
