EXECUTIVE ORDER
90-6

WHEREAS, I have been advised by the Director, State Emergency Management Agency, Office of the Adjutant General, that a natural disaster of major proportions has occurred in Webster County, Missouri; loss of property has occurred as the result of tornadoes and that the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of those jurisdictions require an invocation of the provisions of Section 44.100, RSMo 1986;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN ASHCROFT, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 44.100, RSMo 1986, do hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in Webster County, Missouri and that each jurisdiction officially requesting assistance is hereby declared to be a disaster area, and do hereby authorize that the approved Missouri Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Plan be activated and do further authorize the use of such agencies, personnel and equipment of the state as may be necessary for the preservation of life, property and the restoration of public facilities in those countries.

Furthermore, I do specifically authorize and order all the department directors or their designees to utilize personnel and equipment of their respective agencies in support of local government as may be deemed appropriate under the circumstances during the period in which this Order is effective.

This Order shall terminate on May 31, 1990, unless extended in whole or in part.
