EXECUTIVE ORDER
93-45

WHEREAS, as Governor my primary concern regarding the Branson Missouri area is the safety of its residents and visitors; and secondly the image of Branson as a tourist attraction;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, do hereby establish the Governor's Task Force on Branson. The Governor's Task Force shall be composed of seven members designated by the Governor.

The Task Force members shall be designated within ten days of this order.

The Governor shall designate one of the members of the Task Force to serve as chair.

The Task Force shall be charged with an oversight function over the activities of the consultant supervising the code enforcement operation for the City of Branson and the audit conducted by the "Big Six" accounting firm hired for the purpose of conducting a compliance audit for the building department in the City of Branson. By ensuring that the review process is objective and that any necessary inspections or repairs are made, this group will help restore the public's confidence in the safety of the buildings in Branson. The Division of Design and Construction in the Office of Administration will provide support and staff services to this Task Force.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Missouri, in the City of Jefferson, on this 15th day of November, 1993.
