EXECUTIVE ORDER
94-11

WHEREAS, charges to employers for benefits paid to workers unemployed as a direct result of the flooding that occurred during the Summer of 1993 were waived by Executive Order 93-23; and

WHEREAS, the waiver of benefit charges provided temporary relief to Missouri employers during a critical period of recovery; and

WHEREAS, Federal disaster unemployment assistance for workers unemployed as a result of the disaster that occurred in the Summer of 1993 and is designated as FEMA-995-DR is not payable for weeks which end after January 8, 1994;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, including Chapter 44 RSMo 1986, do hereby order that the waiver of benefit charges to employers by authority of Executive Order 93-23 shall not apply to payments made for weeks which end after January 8, 1994.
