EXECUTIVE ORDER
95-22

WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. State Celebration Commission was established by Executive Order 85-19; and

WHEREAS, that Executive Order provided for five (5) members of the Commission to be appointed by the Governor; and

WHEREAS, Executive Order 86-28 provided for an additional two (2) members to be appointed by the Governor as was recommended by the Commission; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable, at this time, to increase the number of members on the Commission by three (3); and

WHEREAS, it may be necessary to increase the number of members of the Commission in the future;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, do hereby amend Executive Orders 85-19 and 86-28 to allow the appointment of three (3) additional members to the Commission, so that the Commission shall consist of ten (10) individuals appointed by the Governor, as well as amend said orders to permit expansion of the Commission in the future at the discretion of the Governor.

In all other respects, Executive Orders 85-19 and 86-28 remain in effect.
