School Services
Welcome to the School Services page of Wolfner Library’s web site. This page is for teachers, counselors, special services directors, school librarians and media specialists, principals and others who work with students in Missouri schools.
Almost every school has students who are eligible for this free library service. Wolfner Library serves people who are blind and visually impaired, as well as those who cannot use standard print materials due to a physical disability or a reading disability. To find out more about who can use this service, read through the Eligibility and Certification section of our application.
More than 700 schools in Missouri are registered with Wolfner Library. Registration is a one-time procedure, and once registered, a school remains in the Wolfner Library patron database, even if years pass between periods of active use. If you are not sure if your school is registered, check here [* XLS]. to check. New registrations are accepted throughout the year.
If your school is not in our database, you need to complete and submit the Application for Free Library Service: Institutions and mail it to Wolfner Library at the address on the application. If your school is already in our database and you need service after a period of inactivity, you must submit an Annual Student Listing Form to reactivate service. For more information about registering a school or student for service, or about reactivating service, go to Starting or Resuming Service for a School.
Our online public access catalog, called WolfPac is available to you 24/7. It allows you to search for books by author, title, subject and keyword. You can also request and reserve books online, as well as review which books are checked out on an account. If you need more information about how to order online, contact the Youth Services Librarian by email or at 800-392-2614.
Please note: When a school orders books from Wolfner Library, they are checked out to the school, not the students. The library recommends that you not let students take home books loaned to the school. Each student can have equipment at home through his or her individual account.
