The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) primary photograph collection at the Archives covers 1929-1975 with a few earlier and later photos. Photographs feature road and bridge construction, natural events such as floods and other major construction projects such as the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The photographs are digitized, but are not currently available online.

  • MoDOT’s largest series contains over 200,000 aerial photographs taken between 1955 and 2004. These images are digitized and are available solely through MoDOT. Contact information for the MoDOT librarian is on the State Library’s website here.
