The goal of the Safe at Home program is to help survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, or other victims of crime in their efforts to stay safe. Safe at Home provides a substitute address for survivors to use on new records with government agencies and the courts, and a mail-forwarding service that helps them keep their actual address confidential. Potential Safe at Home participants must meet in person with a registered Application Assistant who has received training from the secretary of state’s office. Application Assistants may be employees or volunteers of a government agency or of a nonprofit program that provides services to crime victims.  This session will provide the complete training and eligible attendees will have the option to become registered Application Assistants for Safe at Home.
