1.    I am unable to search the site.

We have recently upgraded to a new enhanced filing system.  Searching can still be done for free at:  https://bsd.sos.mo.gov

2.    I am unable to find my business in the search?

Our new system’s search is quite particular regarding spacing and punctuation.  The least amount of information you can input during a search is best.

3.    I am unable to login or use my current credentials to access the site.

We have recently upgraded to a new enhanced filing system.  With the new site, all customers will need to create new user accounts. Please see our user guide on the steps on account creation.

4.    I am unable to find my business attached to my account?

Accounts are not tied to a specific business nor are entities associated with accounts. Each account’s filing history from creation can be searched. Once a user files a document regarding a particular entity it will show in the middle column of the DASHBOARD under UPDATE COMPANY.

5.    How do I submit a filing in your new system?

Please view our filing resource guides for the steps to submit a filing. You can locate it here.

6.    How do I order a Certificate of Good Standing?

Please view our filing resource guide for the steps to order a Certificate of Good Standing.

7. I need to file a biennial report, how do I do that?

Once logged in filers will have the option to file a biennial report. Please view our biennial report step-by-step instructions guide for more information.

8.    I sent in my filling and haven’t received anything yet, how long does this take?

We have recently upgraded to a new enhanced filing system. Unfortunately, due to this upgrade we are experiencing a longer processing time than normal. Our office is diligently working on processing the documents in the order they where received. We appreciate your patience during this time.

9.    Why doesn’t my LLC show up when I search to add it as an owner for my Fictitious Name?

All owners of a fictitious name are required to have an address.  Many LLCs do not have an associated Principal Office Address.  If an LLC wishes to own a fictitious name they may file an amendment to add a principal office address.

10.   I am trying to complete a submission and it is requiring a letter of consent, what is that?

The letter of consent is an uploaded statement from the new Registered Agent signed and stating they consent to being the Registered Agent.

11.   Why can I not use my address, I get a validation error that my address is not correct?

Recently, our office upgraded to a new enhanced filing system. This system allows us to verify addresses using the United States Postal Services tool.  In order to move past the validation, you will need to use the standard form of your address.  Addresses can be check by going to the United States Postal Service Zip Code Lookup tool. If your address is not found please contact your local post office to have it added into the Address Management System.
